About us

Who we are

Climate-conscious scholars concerned with our common future

The d\carb future economy forum was founded by Master's and PhD students interested in climate policy at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), Berlin's Freie Universität, Technische Universität, and Humboldt University, as well as the Hertie School of Governance, Oxford University, SOAS University of London and Harvard University. We stand for scientifically informed critical debates; plural and accessible to the general public. We want to drive change towards more sustainable business in Germany, Europe and beyond. We would like to thank the ThinkLab 2.0 of the Stiftung der deutschen Wirtschaft for financial support and the Hertie School Sustainability Center for organizing the events and providing the necessary infrastructure.
